Hooked on Horn Jewelry from Vietnam

I found this beautiful horn jewelry on my last trip to Vietnam. Similar in coloring to tortoise shell, but ethically sourced from domestic water buffalo, horn jewelry has a long history as ornamentation in Asia.
Horns from various species have been used since historical times as cups, storage containers and handles for implements such as calligraphy brushes. Hermès has their horn jewelry produced in Vietnam but as you can guess, with an insane markup. Worn with a sexy black dress these rich, organic pieces look fabulous!
