New photography exhibition alert! I’m a huge fan of the m97 Gallery in Shanghai. They’re located in the Moganshan Art District which has a ton of galleries. If you’re in town in March, I’d recommend checking out Robert van der Hilt’s new work.

As one of the first galleries in Shanghai – and one of the largest of its kind in China – m97 is dedicated to exhibiting the most interesting contemporary and fine art photography across all genres of the medium. Representing over 20 of the most interesting photography artists working in China, m97 was established in 2006 at No. 97 Moganshan Road in Shanghai along the Suzhou Creek, which is home to dozens of art galleries and artist studios. m97 is a 300-square-meter gallery space with a 200-square-meter main exhibition room, and three smaller viewing rooms where visitors can see additional works of the artists we represent.
